An antique art nouveau pewter bottle holder created by Archibald Knox (1864-1933) for Liberty & Co, London. Made in England and dated 1905 featuring stylised bud and foliage hand carved cut out detailing on the body and four curved lug feet, this classic piece is a refined example of aesthetic movement metalware. Primarily designed as a butter dish, originally featuring with a small glass insert which is sadly missing from this listing, the piece  has been repurposed as an elegant bottle holder and could also be styled as a pillar candle holder if paired with an appropriate replacement insert.

In good condition, with some bending present in the feet that causes the piece to rock slightly on flat surfaces, pewter patina areas and scratching synonymous with wear and use as can be seen in our photographs.
